In case you’re not too sure how to use this blog, here are a couple of suggestions. I’ll add questions that I get asked and answers to them.
Using sensitive tags
The sensitive tag system allows you to narrow down your search. On the main page, all tags are listed. Let’s say you’re looking for an article where Ryo talks about Pi and about health. You choose the first tag - let’s take Pi - and click on “Yamapi”. As a result you get a list of articles that feature Pi. The tagcloud in the sidebar now shows considerably less tags, namely only those tags that also appear in articles which have the tag “Yamapi”. If you click on the tag “health” now, you get only those articles where both tags appear.
You can do this with more tags, until you’ve found what you were looking for. This is just a different way of searching through the blog, of course you can always use the search function at the top of the page, just enter your keywords and hit Enter.
My own avatar?
You can upload your own avatar that will always show up next to your comments when you’re logged in. For this you have to subscribe to the blog and edit your profile page. But it isn’t really necessary to subscribe to the blog in order to read articles, all articles are public. If I notice that translations get copied-and-pasted like mad, though, I will probably restrict the blog to members only, in which case you’ll have to subscribe to be able to read posts. But so far we’re still public.
There is a tag missing!
If you think an article should be tagged with further keywords, I’ll be more than happy for your suggestions!
Just leave a comment on the articles page.
I want to know when you post new articles!
There are a couple of ways to get notified of new posts. You can subscribe to an RSS feed (links are in the main menu at the top of the page and in the right sidebar). If you’re on LiveJournal, you can also subscribe to the feed there, it’s located here. Note, though, that while you can read new posts on your friendspage, I won’t see any comments posted there, so if you’d like to interact, it’d be better to come to the blog and post here. (With the added bonus that you make me very happy.
)
Can I repost / translate / link your translations?
No reposting, no translating into another language - but links are more than welcome! The link to the blog is http://ricci.bidan.de/ryo/. The reason for the first two questions can be found on the “Please read” page.
Can I request a translation of a specific article?
As long as it’s an article by/about Ryo, I’ll gladly add it to my list! I can’t promise you when it will be done, but it will be.
Just leave a comment here or use the contact page. Please include the name of the magazine, year and date (e.g. April 2009) and a link to the scans.
If you have any further questions that aren’t answered here, just leave a comment. I’ll reply as soon as possible!
