NEWS Spring Flavor
The buds are swelling, making the flowers bloom, a gentle season. We received reports of the colorful recent conditions of the members which make you feel that spring has come. Together with a talk concering memories of “graduation” - here you go♪

Nishikido Ryo
Ever since I went to Hawaii with the other members for a commercial filming in January, I haven’t met them at all. *cries* Privately, I do have a lot to tell, though. First, I’m much obliged to my beloved Saitô Kazuyoshi-san. When I went to his live concert the other day, he gave me his mail address and his phone number, and a couple of days ago, he took me with him to a musical instruments store!! Then, Saitô-san told me, “Nishikido-san, I can absolutely recommend this.” and so I bought a new guitar that he had recommended, and right now I’m practising with this guitar a lot. Although Saitô-san always calls me “Nishikido-kun”, sometimes he speaks very politely. Though I always tell him at these times, “Please stop with the polite speech.” *laughs* Then the next day, we went out to dinner together. At first, it was just the two of us, but some acquaintances joined us later and we talked and talked until late in the night. Actually, he has a concert today as well, but since I have to work, I can’t gooooooo. *cries* No really, Saitô Kazuyoshi-san is the best♪

Aside from that, I’m into going to big supermarkets lately, catching the happy hour. [1] They also sell things from the U.S., and I bought a large amount of detergent and fabric softener for re-filling… and also toilet paper! But since that were 24 rolls, I had my arms full just with the toilet paper. *laughs* No matter what American stuff you buy, it always comes in huge sizes. That’s why I stopped by a general store on my way home and bought a reusable bottle for the detergent, which I fill up by and by. I also bought a container of icecream so huge that it made me think, “Is this for business use!?” I thought that when I’m going out of my way to buy icecream, I’d try to experience the atmosphere of an icecream vendor, and so I bought this loud machine where you can get your own icecream. [2] Returning home I immediately tried it out and the icecream is so tasty! But after using it once, I was pretty satisfied, so I haven’t eaten any ever since… *laughs* Then yesterday, I did some major cleaning. This story will get long, but… First, I went to a furniture store with my family to buy a new sofa. You know, furniture isn’t delivered on the same day. But as I wanted to have it on that day no matter what, I rented a truck, carried the sofa there and had my father drive me home and help me get it into my appartment. My father used to work in a job where he had to use strength, so he easily carried it, and I really admire how strong he is… okay, so far this story happened last year in September. *laughs* But today for the first time I moved the sofa and cleaned under it. This story is about how I always left it out when cleaning because it is so heavy and then resoluty went through with it. *laughs* While I was moving it anyway, I set it up at a different place then before.

“Graduation”
It’s the second button.[3] My school uniform had a blazer, so I only had about two buttons. *laughs* Now that I think of it, no one asked me for my button at the graduation ceremony.

[1] I used the expression “happy hour” because I could think of nothing else. ^^; What is actually meant are the limited periods of time when a supermarket has a special product on sale very cheap, say, a special kind of fish is on sale from 3~3:15 for half the price. That Ryo minds these times actually makes him look pretty nerdy. *laughs*
[2] In Japan, icecream vendors sale shaved ice (frozen water) with a syrup on top. Shaving the ice makes a lot of noise, so it’s this machine he means.
[3] It’s a custom for a boy to give the girl he likes his second button on graduation day.

    lol Ryo, fanboy much? XD
But at least he’s a fanboy with taste, Kazuyoshi really is a great singer
Also, one of the Ryo mysteries: how can he be so utterly homey yet manage to look cool?
Thank you so much for all the articles!!!!!!!!! *gives you shaved ice cream*

I must admit, I never listened to anything by Saitô Kazuyoshi. Will have to remedy that if you say he’s good! :D

Me too! I so dislike his “idol-like” answers which all sound alike, like, “Hello this is Nishikido Ryo, I’ll do my best, please support me” and that’s it. I really don’t know why he thinks that he’s such a boring person - he DOES have a lot of interesting things to tell!

It’s so enjoyable to read such translations! :miniheart3:
While reading it you can really imagine how Ryo carries toilet paper while going home and some ice cream…or how he tries to move his heavy sofa to clean under it…

and I was like: “aaaaah what a fanboy he is ”

I really appreciate your work so thank you veeeeery much :rainbow:
