Soon it will be Happy Valentine’s Day, so we let the members answer 20 questions about a variety of topics, from love, sweets to their lives recently. Please partake of their answers which are overflowing with individuality!

Q: How you reward yourself lately?
A: I went to a restaurant with my parents. My parents were happy about this too… I was happy since I felt that I could give my parents a reward as well.
Q: When do you think, ‘what a luxury’?
A: When I’m walking down the Omotesandô [1] after my work ended an hour earlier, when I was able to use a day’s time without wasting any, I think that’s a luxury.
Q: Do you believe in fortune-telling?
A: Absolutely not.
Q: In the evening, what do you need to fall asleep?
A: First, I turn off all the lights and make my room completely dark. I turn all noises off. After getting into bed, I turn so that I’m lying on my right side. If those three conditions aren’t fulfilled, I can’t sleep. But even so, yesterday I was apparently so tired that I realized in the morning I’d fallen asleep lying on my back and listening to music. *laughs*
Q: What’s the knack of getting up early in the morning?
A: I’m really bad with mornings. So if there’s some sort of knack, I rather want you to tell me about it. *laughs*
Q: You’re actually not good with machines?
A: I’m not that good with PCs, but I do quite well hooking up electrical devices. Around the time when I did “Ryûsei no Kizuna”, Ninomiya-kun spent a whole day setting up a TV for digital programs, and when he finally thought he could watch TV, it apparently was an analogue broadcast. *laughs* If it had been me, I could have done it in 30 minutes. *looks confident*
Q: Are there any health improvement methods you find intriguing?
A: I myself haven’t done this before, but I wonder how the result would be if I drank my own urine.
Q: When you’re on tour and away from your home, are there any things or dishes you start missing?
A: Nothing special. I always take my guitar along, and my PC too, when I need it.
Q: What’s your favourite country?
A: That’s Japan, without a question!
Q: Can you recommend any movies, books or TV shows?
A: “Taxi Driver” and the Korean movie “Oasis”. Robert de Niro is so cool!!
Q: What’s a recent prank you played on someone?
A: I decorated the tape recorder of the writer with the shrimp that was in my cup ramen. *laughs*
Q: Tell us the dish you’re good at cooking!
A: Fried egg. These days I’m putting mentaiko, nattô and other stuff in as well, so I’m releasing a lot of original menues!!
Q: When did you first become aware of Valentine’s Day and White Day?
A: When I was in primary school. I remember that I got sweets from a classmate when I was in fourth grade.
Q: If someone confessed their love to you, how should they phrase it?
A: “I like you! ♪” would be good. But basically I’m the type who wants to be the one who confesses.
Q: What’s your favourite kind of sweets?
A: Snacks made from potatoes with barbeque flavour. And, though that’s not really a kind of sweets, plum-flavoured nori and wakame.
Q: Is there someone who intrigues you?
A: That’s Saitô Kazuyoshi-san after all. I’m liking him more and more. I want to go see another one of his live concerts!!
Q: Are you the type where others immediately notice if you fall in love with someone?
A: It doesn’t show in my face, but it often shows in my attitude. I’m in love, nothing I can do about it.
Q: In NEWS, frankly it’s XXX who’s most popular with the girls!
A: Hm, that depends on the type of girls. But if I were to let out my whole sex appeal, I’m confident that I could make all the girls in the world fall for me. Since I haven’t done that until now, it’s just that you haven’t had the opportunity to know my real powers yet!! *laughs*
Q: What’s your favourite café?
A: I don’t go to cafés that often… Since it’s still cold in this season, everywhere is fine as long as it’s not outside.
